Sarah Palin is Obama's Best Friend

I watched Sarah Palin's Alaska last night on TLC. She scares the shit of me. Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike Sarah Palin. I agree with her on many issues. It doesn't bother me that she is making the big bucks selling her brand.  But President of the United State of America...that's INSANITY. My angry is reserved for John McCain, who chose the worst running mate in GOP history in a desperate attempt to re-brand himself.

Now the GOP is stuck with Sarah and the Democrats have hope. Sarah Palin is the only person in America who could get Obama elected to a second term at this point. The more visible she becomes, the greater his chances increase.

The only thing Obama and Palin have in common is their love of Blackberries and daily TV appearances.

Sarah Palin is - in a word yet again whispered rather than uttered - "Dangerous."

Not only would Palin the presidential candidate drive away other Republican candidates, but she would most certainly lose a national election. Thus, the GOP finds itself in a pickle: How to shed itself of this attractive nuisance?

Republican Rep. Spencer Bachus of Alabama recently had the audacity to assert what heretofore had been relegated to whispers behind closed doors: "Sarah Palin cost us control of the Senate."

Bachus, who likely will replace Barney Frank as chair of the House Financial Services Committee, noted that Palin endorsed some Senate candidates who couldn't possibly win, such as Christine O'Donnell in Delaware.

O'Donnell didn't have a chance in Haiti of becoming a U.S. senator, but Palin Power put her in the nominee's seat, defeating nine-term establishment candidate Rep. Mike Castle.

Another notable lost seat in a state where the establishment candidate might have won is Nevada, where Harry Reid defeated tea party pick Sharron Angle. Political veterans say Angle's primary opponent, Sue Lowden, would have led Reid by 15 points.
