Obamarx campaigned for the Democrats in both Virgina and New Jersey. Both Lost!  He did not campaign in the NY-23 and the Democrat won.  The Huffington Post, Politico & CNBC are trying to tell us that these elections were not a referendum on BO.  They can say it a thousand times today, but it will not change the the truth.

America is a center right country. Marxists and Liberal Fascists gained control of our country in 2008.  Almost immediately, the people realized that they had jumped from the frying pan into the fire.  The liberal media, as usual, underestimated the intelligence and patriotism of the American people.

Chris Matthews, Rachel Maddow, Ed Schultz and Keith Olbermann are actually doing the country a service by revealing the  Marxist agenda of the radical Democratic party leaders and the President.  Nothing can renew your resolve more than watching these radical Marxists for just five minutes a day.

MSNBC labeled  "Tea Baggers" & "Wing Nuts" and members of the MOB are taking the country back from the real radicals. We will not rest until statism has been eradicated and capitalism restored.  Our fight is far from over.  We have a lot of work left to do.  Do not rest. Yesterday was the beginning of  the battle to insure that Government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the Earth.

Dear Friend of Liberty,

Make no mistake: there's a strong, unrelenting push to destroy what remains of private health care in this country.

And now congressional leaders are attempting to overcome their scheme's plunging approval numbers by manipulating Ted Kennedy's death to create support for a “legacy” health care bill.

Our representatives and senators are eager to get back to Washington and away from the tremendous grassroots opposition to health control.

Which means it's time for us to turn up the heat.

Click here to get contact information to write, call, and fax Congress to express your outrage at their plans to finish taking over what remains of private health care.  And be sure to sign our "Stop the Government Health Care Scheme" petition.

Health control propagandists claim that we are defending the status quo of a "failed" private sector by opposing their latest scheme.

However, their bill cements the status quo in health care: continuing (and expanding) government intrusion.

Protectionist regulations have decimated competition in health insurance at the local level, and the vast, complex tax code has subsidized employer-provided high cost health care. The FDA, in the name of consumer protection, has restricted the supply of drugs from home and abroad. And individuals are barred from shopping across state lines for health insurance.

Watch this YouTube video to see a ER physician describe how the government obstructs the supply of health services.

Does any of that really sound like the free market at work to you?

Government-manipulated health care is bankrupting this country. Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security are drowning in tens of trillions of dollars worth of unfunded liabilities and red ink, yet the response from Congress is to propose more 1,000+ page bills that will move our health care system perilously close to other nations' statist care.

You know as well as I that this unfair plan is doomed to be a fiscal nightmare comparable to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and that Congress-created HMOs are notorious for denying care to control spiraling costs.

Our nation has seen enough big government schemes, especially in medicine. President Obama is right about one thing: it's time to take action.

It's time to let the free market work.

Click here for contact information for the House and Senate in order to demand real reform.  In addition to contacting your representative and senators, be sure to campaign hard for health freedom at your local townhall meeting.

Urge your representative to fight to allow individuals to shop across state lines for insurance, curb the authority of the FDA to prevent Americans from going outside the country for cheaper medications, and enable individuals to purchase their own health insurance without being taxed for doing so.

Tell Congress to give Americans control over their health care by giving them control over their health care dollar via tax credits and deductions similar to those outlined in Congressman Ron Paul's Comprehensive Health Care Reform Act (HR 1495).

Ask your congressman to protect privacy rights by allowing patients and physicians to opt-out of any government-mandated or funded system of electronic health care records, and to repeal the federal law creating an "unique patient identifier" by adopting the policies contained in Congressman Ron Paul's Protect Patients and Physicians Privacy Act (HR 2630).

In the meantime, we can push for reform of our respective state's competition-destroying mandates on private insurers.  These simple, common-sense reforms would immediately alleviate the costs of health care without adding to the exploding national debt.

And if you are able, please donate to Campaign for Liberty today so that we can educate Americans on a true free market health care system and defeat this latest health control scheme.

Don't let the proponents of Obamacare sell you on the notion that we need the government to save us from the mess that government made.  Click here to demand that Congress support legitimate health care reform!

Public doubt about health care reform has grown as the debate's raged this summer, with a rise in views it would do more harm than good, increasing opposition to a public option, and President Obama's rating on the issue at a new low in ABC News/Washington Post polls.

Fewer than half of Americans, 45 percent, support reform as it's been explained to date, while 50 percent are opposed – with many more "strongly" opposed than strongly in favor, 40 percent vs. 27 percent. Support's at just 36 percent among independents, the crucial political center.

Obama's approval rating for handling health care has fallen steadily from 57 percent in April to 46 percent today, led by a steep 17-point slide among independents. And expectations he can successfully accomplish reform have dropped further – from 68 percent shortly before he took office to 49 percent now.

Americans are waking up to the ObamaNation!  Keep the pressure on on your Senators and Representatives in Congress.  WE the people are responsible for our future. We have been complacent and lazy , allowing both Democrats and Republicans to hijack our Constitution and our Republic.

It's never to late to do the right thing.  We can and will save America!

Yesterday came and went and I did not even realize that it was 1 year ago  that I retired from ICE. The memories of the many good years with the Department of the Treasury and the final miserable years of working for 2 of the biggest assholes on earth were already forgotten.

I read a newspaper article documenting one of the many screw ups at ICE since its beginning 6 years ago.  I emailed back & forth with a friend who had retired a year before.  I had picked him up at his mother in law's house about 20 years ago & drove him to the Customs Office to pick up his G ride.  He transferred from Charleston to Dallas/Fort Worth Customs Office of Investigations.

Yet yesterday I did not remember for even a second, that my "misery meter" had gone from high to "zero" on 8/3/2008. The United States Customs Service would have turned 200 years old this year but Congress decided to break it up and create a bastardized version under the Department of Homeland Security in 2003.  Customs and Border Protection has assumed the legacy and history of the Department of Treasury's Bureau of Customs. ICE is now the much maligned INS. Who wouldn't want to forget working at ICE?

A week ago, I turned 55. I reflected on the many changes & inventions that had taken place in my lifetime.   I lived  in south Georgia without air conditioning, a "dial" telephone, cell phones, calculators, computers, or "xerox"  machines.   Color television had not been invented and we only received 2 channels, CBS & NBC.  My parents did not get a checking account until I was 13. Workers were paid in cash, and credit cards and ATM machines did not exist.

There were no "fast food" restaurants. The first "convenience store" ,  7/11 opened at 7am & closed 11pm.  Everything else closed by 6pm.  Commercial Air Travel was in its infancy. The vast majority of people in the United States had never flown on an airplane. My grandfather died at age 78 in 1968 and he never flew on an airplane once in his life.  I was 13 and would fly for the first time on an Delta Airlines turboprop later that year.  "Youth Fare"  cost much less than adult fare back then.

50 years ago the federal deficit was less than 1% of the GDP. Today the federal deficit is over 13% of the GDP and growing. The U.S. population today is slightly over 307 million. That is $38,000 in debt per citizen for a federal deficit of $1.8 trillion dollars.  But who can get their arms around such a number?  What exactly is a trillion dollars?  Well, 1 trillion is a million million. It's a thousand billion. It's a one followed by 12 zeros. $1,000,000,000,000.

The U.S. government spends more than the entire Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Australia, China and Spain combined. If you laid one dollar bills end to end, you could make a chain that stretches from earth to the moon and back again 200 times before you ran out of dollar bills! One trillion dollars would stretch nearly from the earth to the sun. It would take a military jet flying at the speed of sound, reeling out a roll of dollar bills behind it, 14 years before it reeled out one trillion dollar bills.

By the way, planet earth is ONLY 4.5 billion years old. Seems like a tiny number compared to one trillion.

Yet as Obama and the Socialist Congress is pushing hard to pass costly legislation like single pay government health care, tax revenue is on a pace to drop 18%, the biggest decline since the Great Depression.  Individual tax receipts are down 22%. Corporate tax receipts are down 57%.  The last time the government's revenue was this weak was 1932, in the midst of the Depression.

William Gale, Director of the Tax Policy Center, "The numbers for 2009 are striking, head snapping. But what really matters is what happens next. If the economy doesn't recover soon, it doesn't matter what your social, economic and political agenda is. There's not going to be any revenue to pay for it."

Figures don't lie but liars figure.  Welcome to the age of the ObamaNation.

Ann Coulter on Health Care Reform

Take Two Aspirin and Call Me When Your Cancer is At Stage Four

All the problems with the American health care system come from government intervention, so naturally the Democrats' idea for fixing it is more government intervention. This is like trying to sober up by having another drink.

The reason seeing a doctor is already more like going to the DMV, and less like going to the Apple "Genius Bar," is that the government decided health care was too important to be left to the free market. Yes -- the same free market that has produced such a cornucopia of inexpensive goods and services that, today, even poor people have cell phones and flat-screen TVs.

As a result, it's easier to get your computer fixed than your health. Thanks, government!

We already have near-universal health coverage in the form of Medicare, Medicaid, veterans' hospitals, emergency rooms and tax-deductible employer-provided health care -- all government creations.

So now, everyone expects doctors to be free. People who pay $200 for a haircut are indignant if it costs more than a $20 co-pay to see a doctor.

The government also "helped" us by mandating that insurance companies cover all sorts of medical services, both ordinary -- which you ought to pay for yourself -- and exotic, such as shrinks, in vitro fertilization and child-development assessments -- which no normal person would voluntarily pay to insure against.

This would be like requiring all car insurance to cover the cost of gasoline, oil and tire changes -- as well as professional car detailing, iPod docks, and leather seats and those neon chaser lights I have all along the underbody of my chopped, lowrider '57 Chevy.

But politicians are more interested in pleasing lobbyists for acupuncturists, midwives and marriage counselors than they are in pleasing recent college graduates who only want to insure against the possibility that they'll be hit by a truck. So politicians at both the state and federal level keep passing boatloads of insurance mandates requiring that all insurance plans cover a raft of non-emergency conditions that are expensive to treat -- but whose practitioners have high-priced lobbyists.

As a result, a young, healthy person has a choice of buying artificially expensive health insurance that, by law, covers a smorgasbord of medical services of no interest to him ... or going uninsured. People who aren't planning on giving birth to a slew of children with restless leg syndrome in the near future forgo insurance -- and then politicians tell us we have a national emergency because some people don't have health insurance.

The whole idea of insurance is to insure against catastrophes: You buy insurance in case your house burns down -- not so you can force other people in your plan to pay for your maid. You buy car insurance in case you're in a major accident, not so everyone in the plan shares the cost of gas.

Just as people use vastly different amounts of gasoline, they also use vastly different amounts of medical care -- especially when an appointment with a highly trained physician costs less than a manicure.

Insurance plans that force everyone in the plan to pay for everyone else's Viagra and anti-anxiety pills are already completely unfair to people who rarely go to the doctor. It's like being forced to share gas bills with a long-haul trucker or a restaurant bill with Michael Moore. On the other hand, it's a great deal for any lonely hypochondriacs in the plan.

Now the Democrats want to force us all into one gigantic national health insurance plan that will cover every real and mythical ailment that has a powerful lobby. But if you have a rare medical condition without a lobbying arm, you'll be out of luck.

Even two decades after the collapse of liberals' beloved Soviet Union, they can't grasp that it's easier and cheaper to obtain any service provided by capitalism than any service provided under socialism.

You don't have to conjure up fantastic visions of how health care would be delivered in this country if we bought it ourselves. Just go to a grocery store or get a manicure. Or think back to when you bought your last muffler, personal trainer, computer and every other product and service available in inexpensive abundance in this capitalist paradise.

Third-party payer schemes are always a disaster -- less service for twice the price! If you want good service at a good price, be sure to be the one holding the credit card. Under "universal health care," no one but government bureaucrats will be allowed to hold the credit card.

Isn't food important? Why not "universal food coverage"? If politicians and employers had guaranteed us "free" food 50 years ago, today Democrats would be wailing about the "food crisis" in America, and you'd be on the phone with your food care provider arguing about whether or not a Reuben sandwich with fries was covered under your plan.

Instead of making health care more like the DMV, how about we make it more like grocery stores? Give the poor and tough cases health stamps and let the rest of us buy health care -- and health insurance -- on the free market.

A telling episode recounted by Senate Finance ranking member Charles Grassley reveals the Obama administration might be more worried than they are letting on that a Republican senator's comparison of the healthcare overhaul to Waterloo might be dangerously close to the truth.

Grassley said he spoke with a Democratic House member last week who shared Obama's bleak reaction during a private meeting to reports that some factions of House Democrats were lining up to stall or even take down the overhaul unless leaders made major changes.

"Let's just lay everything on the table," Grassley said. "A Democrat congressman last week told me after a conversation with the president that the president had trouble in the House of Representatives, and it wasn't going to pass if there weren't some changes made ... and the president says, 'You're going to destroy my presidency.' "

Get this straight: President Barack Obama lies when lying offers the best path to his personal success.  He lies with alacrity and without embarrassment.

Before and after his election, he pledged to the American people that those of us who make “less than $250,000 a year would not see a dime in increased taxes”.

Before six months had passed, Obama has already almost passed the biggest tax increase on ALL Americans in our history.  Obama hides his tax scam behind the title “Cap and Trade”.  All that is needed for Obama to be able to sign that tax increase into law is a vote in a Senate dominated by liberal Democrats.  Normal America might yet turn back the Cap and Trade tax, but the prospects are not good.  Plan to be hit by a few thousand dollars in new taxes each and every year.  Many new cars would cost you less than Obama’s new tax will cost you.

As Obama shoves through his very radical agenda, a tactic has emerged – his need for speed.

Beginning with his “stimulus” scam, he has forced legislators to vote for his proposals before they have a chance to read and consider it.  NO member of either House had read the “stimulus” bill.  Not a soul.  The same “hurry up, shut up, and pass the bill” tactic has been used and is being used in other Obama legislative efforts.

No wonder.  Reading and analyzing his radical ideas wont go down well with normal America.  Democrats are even opposing legislation that would require those voting on legislation to have read the bill on which they are voting.

Imagine!!  Reading what you are being asked to approve and pass into law!  What a radical idea – but Rham Emanuel and other denizens of the Socialist Chicago Democrat Machine don't care about democracy as it interferes with their fascist agenda.

From conservative Hans A. von Spakovsky, former Commissioner on the Federal Election Commission.

Most people do not understand the sheer magnitude of the Executive branch. There are almost 3 million federal employees, 99 percent of whom are career civil servants over whom the president has virtually no authority. Seventeen states have fewer citizens than the federal government has bureaucrats.

There are only a few thousand positions within the federal government that are subject to “noncompetitive appointment,” i.e., positions that the president can fill through political patronage. Among these are 1,137 positions that can be filled by presidential appointment with Senate confirmation; 320 positions subject to presidential appointment without confirmation; and 701 positions in the Senior Executive Service (the top level of managers within the federal ranks) that can be filled by non-career appointments.

As these numbers illustrate, it is the career civil servants who pull the millions of levers of power, not the few political appointees at the top of every agency. It is very difficult for the appointees to even keep track of the policies being implemented by the career staff, much less change them.

Working for the federal government seems to instill an utter disdain for limits on governmental power. The idea that a regulation might unconstitutionally infringe individual rights or preempt an area that is traditionally the responsibility and authority of a sovereign state simply never occurred to most of the career employees I encountered. Years of working for a very large federal bureaucracy instills the ultimate regulatory mindset in career civil servants — when there is doubt about whether the federal government has the authority to do something, they never err on the side of not regulating. The rule is: when in doubt, regulate.

Republicans have been wandering around in the darkness for a while. Absent a viable third party candidate, the Republicans must emerge from the darkness with a strong dedication to the principles of the founding fathers.  Many are hoping for another Reagan, but there'll never be another like him.  Some believe Mitt Romney, Tim Pawlenty & Bobby Jindahl  are the future of the party.  Newt Gingrich is brilliant, but has baggage.  Sarah Palin is sincere but has zero chance of defeating Obama. Her weird resignation from elected office is the final nail in her coffin. I guess she plans to spend the free time boning up on facts and info so she can be a candidate in the future. Good luck with all that!

Republicans must return to the party of lower taxes, smaller government, personal responsibility, strong national defense, and states' rights.

The current level of spending is irresponsible and outrageous. We're spending trillions that we don't have. This could lead to hyper inflation, depression or worse. No country has ever spent themselves into prosperity. The media is giving Obama, Reid and Pelosi a pass because they love their agenda.  But eventually the bill will come due and people will realize the huge bailouts didn't work, nor will the stimulus package.  These were trillion-dollar payoffs to Obama's allies, unions and the Congress to placate the left, so he can get support for Federal government control of ENERGY, PUBLIC EDUCATION, & NATIONAL HEALTH CARE.

Obama is a bad joke. He is more of a cult leader than a President. The election was over in mid-September when Lehman brothers failed. Fear and panic swept in, we had an unpopular President, and the war was grinding on indefinitely without a clear outcome. The people were in pain, and the mantra of "change" caused people to act emotionally.  Any Democrat would have won this election. The only surprise was the result being as close as it was.

In 2012, if the unemployment rate is over 10%, Republicans will be swept back into power.  If it's under 8%, the Dems continue to roll.  If it's between 8-10%, it'll be a dogfight.  2012 will be all about the economy.

A new poll from the independent firm Rasmussen Reports finds what Libertarians have said for years – Americans trust their own judgment on economic issues more than that of President Obama and Congress.

Rasmussen reports this week that sixty (60) percent of voters say they trust their own judgment on economic issues more than President Obama’s.  Only 30 percent trust Obama more.  Distrust of Obama is even higher now than it was when the same question was asked in February.  Then, 49 percent trusted their own judgment more than Obama’s, while 39 percent trusted Obama more.

According to Rasmussen, Republicans trust themselves more than Obama by a 75% to 19% margin. The findings for voters not affiliated with either major party are virtually identical. But Democrats are much more closely divided, with nearly half trusting the president more.

Rasmussen also finds 74 percent of Americans trust their own judgment more than that of the average member of Congress when it comes to economic issues facing the nation.  Only 13 percent trust the average Congress member’s judgment more, while 12 percent are not sure who knows best.

Distrust of Congress is higher among independents than it is among Republicans and Democrats.  Seventy-nine (79) percent of independents trust their own economic judgment more than Congress, higher than Republicans at 77 percent and Democrats at 69 percent.

Libertarians are the only party to agree.

Libertarians opposed the first round of Republican bailouts of banks, opposed Democrat bailouts of automakers and has opposed both older parties’ consistent record of economic meddling that has brought economic collapse and higher unemployment.

Libertarians were also early and consistent opponents of the Obama “stimulus” package.  Sold as a means of keeping unemployment below eight percent, new figures from the Labor Department find Americans are now suffering from a 26-year high record of 9.4 percent unemployment.

That’s why Libertarians have a better idea.  Restrain government to its role of policing fraud and force in economic transaction, cut taxes on investments, repeal unneeded and often anti-competitive regulations and free up America’s employers to create the jobs Americans need.

Norway talks Socialism but Thrives from Capitalism

The New York Times does not get it right most of the time and they published this article only to show support for socialism. But there is a lesson here that even in a socialist democracy fiscal responsibility is required to succeed and survive long term.

In the midst of the worst global downturn since the Depression, Norway’s economy grew last year by 3%. The government enjoys a budget surplus of 11 percent.  By comparison, the U.S. is expected to chalk up a fiscal deficit this year equal to 12.9 percent of its GDP and push its total debt to $11 trillion, or 65 percent of the size of its economy.

Norway is a relatively small country with a largely homogeneous population of 4.6 million and the advantages of being a major oil exporter. It counted $68 billion in oil revenue last year as prices soared to record levels. Even though prices have sharply declined, the government is not particularly worried. That is because Norway avoided the usual trap that plagues many energy-rich countries.

Instead of spending its riches lavishly, it passed legislation ensuring that oil revenue went straight into its sovereign wealth fund, state money that is used to make investments around the world. Now its sovereign wealth fund is close to being the largest in the world, despite losing 23 percent last year because of investments that declined.

Norway’s relative frugality stands in stark contrast to Britain, which spent most of its North Sea oil revenue — and more — during the boom years. Government spending rose to 47 percent of G.D.P., from 42 percent in 2003. By comparison, public spending in Norway fell to 40 percent from 48 percent of G.D.P.

The ObamaNation paid lip service to "pay go" at BO's daily live TV appearance. Of course his lips were moving, so he is lying. "Tax & Spend" and  the "Great American Entitlement"  are destroying the greatest country in the world. The USA is NOT to big to fail.  BO needs to learn a lot before he can lead this country from the Great Recession.  Perhaps he can start with the socialist Finance Minister of a tiny country which has thrived in a big way by being fiscally responsible and practicing capitalism.

Eirik Wekre, an economist who writes thrillers in his spare time, describes Norwegians’ feelings about debt this way: “We cannot spend this money now; it would be stealing from future generations.”

Some GM retirees to lose VIAGRA benefits

A UAW trust is taking over GM’s retiree healthcare costs, removing those obligations from the company’s books. In return, the trust gets 17.5 percent of the new GM and an opportunity to buy another 2.5 percent later at a discounted price.

Among other things, the new UAW deal cuts off coverage for retirees’ erectile dysfunction drugs, except for certain cases involving high blood pressure.

Yes, my friends, only those GM retiree's with high blood pressure will get free viagra now! This is just one of the many, many reasons GM should be called GREEDY MOTORS. I have no empathy for any of the union workers who killed this company. There are hundreds of other benefits, many, which are still on the books, that killed the goose that layed the golden eggs for GM employees and the UAW. There is not a corporation or company in the world where employees worked less and received more benefits than at GM.

Zip car, which has 300,000 members and shares ownership of cars does not own one GM car. Zip car has 26 vehicle models in their fleet, including FORD. Today on CNBC, the CEO said that in the six year history of the company, not ONE request for a GM model had been made by a single member.

Yet, the ObamaNation is giving GM $50 billion of our taxpayers dollars. We will not get one penny back from the "new" GM. Government Motors is DEAD ON ARRIVAL.

I will never spend another penny on any GM product. The last time I bought a GM car was in 1976, when I purchased a Pontiac Firebird!  Millions of other American car buyers have done the same, leaving GM behind. GM has been in denial for the last decade. GM employed the most greedy union workers on the planet who produced shitty products.

GM was competitive in their truck and suv product lines over the past decade.  But now that Chairman Obama is running GM, trucks are out and the VOLT is in. Good luck with all that GM!   Sasha and Malia may drive a Volt. They will eligible for employee pricing!  How many others will shell out $40,000 for this bucket of volts?

The taxpayers are paying off  the union workers for $50 billion dollars so they will vote the straight DEMOCRAT ticket in the next election.  BO is running for election in 2012 and he is using taxpayer money to finance his campaign.

The ObamaNation wants to continue the fiscal and moral destruction of what was the greatest nation on earth.  The free market economy is going to be brutally murdered by Obama if the voters don't come to their senses. The ObamaNation continuation of Collective, Statist & Fascist agenda and policies will destroy this country for sure.

Entitlement & the erosion of the capitalist system in the USA started this recession. The ObamaNation is making it much worse. BO policies are the problem and do not even come close to being the solution.

The Nanny State of the ObamaNation aims to totally run the lives of all Americans. Democrats believe that people are too F'n stupid to take care of themselves. Democrats believe another FDR must come in and micro manage the lives of every single citizen. This take over is not being accomplished by force. BO was elected by millions in the November 2008 presidential election.

Unfortunately, the Democrats are correct about the "dumbing down" of America. We must admit that the majority of the country voted for a Collectivist Fascist and made him the President of the United States.

The time has come to admit that the voters of this country made a terrible mistake in electing BO. We must do something to avert the disaster that is sure to follow if we do nothing. The elections of 2010/12 will determine the fate of ALL the people who live in the United States.

Go out and buy this book. Its available in paperback starting today. Educated yourselves and stop the madness.

National conservative blogger and patriotic American Debbie Schlussel throws the bullshit flag on ICE once again. The Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) resident agent in charge of Grand Rapids, Michigan is pimping for his boss, in an attempt to endear him to the ObamaNation.  Read Debbie's excellent blog entry concerning more ICE follies here:

"Torture Doesn't Work" An ICE Agent Who Needs to Shut Up & Work; Abu Moskowitz's Tool

www.debbieschlussel.com/archives/2009/05/torture_doesnt.html

I feel the same about ICE now as when I worked there for over 5 years:

ICE continues to be the laughing stock of federal, state and local law enforcement. FPS will be leaving ICE soon. The Air Marshals and Air & Marine Branch are long gone.

Once FPS leaves in 2010, former legacy Custom's agents will stand alone with the former INS employees at ICE. IMHO CBP will form their own Office of Investigations and ICE will officially become Immigration and Criminal Enforcement. Most ICE employees are involved in the civil apprehension, detention and removal of illegal aliens. Contrary to ICE propaganda, ICE conducts very few criminal investigations.

The Customs investigations that ICE conducts will be transferred to CBP. ICE will investigate the few criminal violations that were assigned to INS agents prior to the merger in 2003.

Before the current ObamaNation term ends, CBP will be the former US Customs Service and ICE will be the former Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS). In practice this is already happening. It is just a matter of time before Congress makes this official.

This has been the plan since DHS was established in 2003. Immigration Enforcement has been and will always be the red headed step child of federal law enforcement because of POLITICS. This has always been the case under both Democrat and Republican Administrations. Some things never change. This includes Amnesty in 2010, which is a repeat of Amnesty in 1986.

Neither political party will do anything, including effective immigration enforcement, to alienate the Hispanic voters or piss off the Republican business establishment and the Democrat bleeding heart socialists
, who make up the unholy "open borders" lobby.

  • ICE will target employers who knowingly hire undocumented workers rather than targeting workers in blanket raids. The guidelines state, “ICE must prioritize the criminal prosecution of actual employers who knowingly hire illegal workers because such employers are not sufficiently punished or deterred by the arrest of their illegal work force.”

  • Cases against employers will be made through carefully built criminal investigations. Agents are instructed to “obtain indictments, criminal arrest or search warrants, or a commitment from a U.S. attorney’s office to prosecute the targeted employer, before arresting employees for civil immigration violations at a work site.”

  • Humanitarian concerns — such as a sickness or being the primary caregiver for a child — must be considered in raids of companies with 25 employees or more, in contrast to previous rules requiring it to be with 150 employees or more.

The new guidelines, as reported in The New York Times, came as a result of the Feb. 24 ICE raid in Bellingham, Wash., where 28 women and men were arrested and detained at the Yamato Engine Specialists Ltd. The organization expressed dismay over how aggressively ICE handled the situation.

Following intense and immediate organizing from immigrant rights organizations, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano pledged an investigation into the raids.

“The new guidelines are an important step in the right direction,” said Pramila Jayapal, executive director of OneAmerica.  “They raise the standards of evidence needed to conduct raids and focus on unscrupulous employers rather than vulnerable workers. This should help rein in chaotic and often heartless past actions by ICE agents that do not address the real problems of a broken system.”

In October 2008, as part of a pilot program, 48 counties across the country began to screen local jail bookings, and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) says the program will be used in nearly all local jails by the end of 2012. Authorities estimate that if fingerprints from all 14-million bookings in local jails across the country were screened, about 1.4-million "criminal aliens" would be found.

Rosemary Jenks, director of government relations at Numbers USA, believes there is an ulterior motive behind the Obama administration's move to expand the program.

"This administration, including the secretary of Homeland Security, believes that if they can shift the focus of all immigration enforcement to just 'criminal aliens,' then they will be able to look like they're being tough on enforcement without actually affecting the vast majority of illegal aliens in this country," she states.

Jenks says while it is important to focus on criminal aliens, she believes at the same time ICE needs to do general enforcement in order to send the message that no illegal alien will get away with living in the United States -- not just those who commit a crime in addition to illegal entry.

IN other words, ICE is out of the work site enforcement business. In fact, work site groups have been dismantled by ICE Office of Investigations and replaced with "financial crimes" groups. Current law makes it virtually impossible to prosecute employers who follow the guidelines when completing I-94's for new employees.  The employer can be prosecuted for discrimination violations much more easily then they can for hiring illegal aliens.

The illegal aliens who get past the Border Patrol will not be arrested under the ObamaNation rules . ICE will only deport those illegal who are arrested by state and local authorities for other criminal violations.  Few, if any employers will ever be prosecuted, as the current law protects them if they simply fill out I-94 forms for new employees. 99.9% of illegals use false documents to obtain employment.  It is NOT the responsibility of the employer to investigate the validity of the documents presented for employment. In fact, it would be illegal for the employee to investigate further under the current laws.

ICE has over 5,0000 highly trained special agents sitting around the office, doing NOTHING.  This ain't your daddy's INS !

"The court of appeals is where policy is made"

Judge Sotomayor does not believe that the Second Amendment right to bear arms applies to individuals. While on a panel discussion at Duke Law School, she argued that the “Court of Appeals is where policy is made.” Judge Sotomayor has had 5 decisions reviewed by the U.S. Supreme Court, 3 of which have been reversed. She has carried 11 of 44 possible votes during those cases. In Knight v. Commissioner of Internal Revenue, Chief Justice Roberts stated that her method of reading the statute in question “flies in the face of the statutory language.”

Judge Sotomayor has written in support of Affirmative Action, upheld the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, and in Amandola v. Town of Babylon, she wrote that denying use of a town hall annex for their worship services violated the First Amendment. She has written a book called “The International Judge,” which suggests that international law and policy should be considered in some court decisions.
