Tiger Woods

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned

Jamie Jungers

Tiger Woods is well known among Las Vegas Blackjack dealers as the one of the "cheapest" high rollers ever. Woods often played blackjack with other sports personalities and celebrities, including Charles Barkley and Michael Jordon. Barkley, is known as one of the most generous tippers among dealers in Vegas.

Jamie Jungers has said that her affair with Woods began in Las Vegas and lasted two years. Apparently, Jungers thought she was the "only" other woman is Tiger's life. Jungers said their dalliance began in a nightclub in early 2005 after the married golfer beckoned the busty blond to his table. After a night of heavy drinking, the pair spent the night inside Woods' hotel room at the MGM Grand.

Woods then began flying Jungers across the country for sexual trysts. He even flew her to his Los Angeles home while his wife was out of town, she said. All the while, Woods never shied away from appearing in public with his new arm candy, Jungers said.

Jungers spoke out amid claims that she worked as an escort and received cash from Woods to pay for liposuction.

"I didn't even get a birthday card," Jungers said. "I got nothing out of this relationship but a broken heart."

Despite severe financial troubles, Jungers said that during her torrid, 2 year affair with the tarnished golfer, she asked him for help only once.

"He said, 'I can't,'" Jungers said.

"I said, 'I don't understand.' I thought maybe he was joking. I was already embarrassed to ask about it. That's when I told him, 'That shows to me how much I mean to you, and I can't do this anymore. I'm already in a rough position in my life, and I have more drama and that's what I don't need.'"

Jungers eventually found a way to cash in on her relationship with Woods. She has sold her story to a British tabloid. Jungers told the UK tabloid News of the World that she was with Woods that night in May 2006 when his mother called to let him know that his dad's condition was not very good. Earl Woods was suffering from cancer.

After his mom called with the news, Jungers said that Tiger looked utterly devastated and didn't say a word.

Earl Woods passed away soon after a visit from Tiger. But after returning from the hospital, Woods seemed subdued, "but when we went to bed he still wanted to have sex as usual," Jungers revealed.

Woods many character flaws, including his arrogance, selfishness, greed and stinginess were major contributors to his downfall. The only question, is why did it take so long for the shit to hit the fan?

Heisman Watch / BCS Sucks

Colt McCoy, the senior and 2008 Heisman runner-up overcame a slow start to the season with a fantastic second half, peaking with 479 yards of total offense in the Longhorns' 49-39 defeat of Texas A&M. That made McCoy the favorite until his offensive line fell apart against Nebraska in the Big 12 championship game. Still, McCoy has thrown for 3,512 yards and completed more than 70 percent of his passes. He also is the Longhorns' second leading rusher with 348 yards.

McCoy should get the nod over the other finalists. McCoy is the winningest quarterback in college football, and he helped lead the Longhorns into the BCS national championship game without a strong running game. Here's another reason, I hope McCoy wins the coveted Heisman.

If Colt McCoy was the king of college football for a day, he knows the first thing he would do: Scrap the Bowl Championship Series and implement a playoff system.

``I've thought about it a lot,'' McCoy said. ``I'd have to say eight-team playoff and maybe cut the season one game short. I don't think you would lose that much money because the playoffs would generate a lot of interest and ultimately you could find out who the national champion was for sure.''

That's an interesting perspective, considering McCoy will play for the BCS National Championship on Jan. 7. But will McCoy really be playing for a true national title?

``I think at the end of this year, there are going to be two or three teams that are undefeated, so it's going to be hard not to argue that there should be a playoff system,'' McCoy said. ``It's not my call, but I'd be all for it. I honestly would. That's pretty neat, and that's how every other sport is determined.''

Five teams finished the season undefeated, but only two can play for a national championship. That's not fair, and at its core, the BCS system seems illegal. At best, the BCS appears to violate antitrust laws. At worst, it's just a white-collar racket.

Rachel Uchitel is a name that will live in infamy (except in Wikipedia). Turns out Rachel is much more significant than an everyday Tiger Woods Ho. Santa Claus may stop at three ho's but for Tiger , Ho Ho Ho, is just the start of a good day. Many more will follow, thanks to his , uh, "friend", Rachael Uchitel.

Lemme tell you somethin', this pimpin that I got in my blood, it came from a family tree. My granddaddy was a pimp, my great great great granddaddy was a pimp. I'm talkin' bout pimpin' since been pimpin' since been pimpin'. -- Baby Powder

Rachel's grandparents ran El Morocco, which is as famous as New York clubs like the Copacabana, the Stork Club, 21, and the Cotton Club. She grew up in the "people" bidness". Promoters, hosts, waitresses, not all but many have, in the "bottle service era" are basically pimps and ho's.

Seve Lewis, a reporter at www.blackbookmag.com recently wrote a great article describing, Rachel Uchitel's "job description":

Say a rich dude or a celebrity who a club wants to entertain regularly and constantly is coming to a joint. A publicist or a friend with connections will hook him up with a dependable promoter or a club hostess or in many cases an owner/manager type. This VIP shows up ... a credit card will secure the real estate ,table, and some booze is thrown into the mix. Where that person is seated is the whole tamale. Promoters bring girls—girls who would die to meet a celebrity or a whale. Theywill have sex with him. Wake up, America—everyone is having sex, especially hotties and successful types. Cash may not actually change hands for sex; it’s not a straight-up money deal necessarily. But it’s more like a “pleased to meet you famous or rich sir” deal. A VIP usually has “entanglements” like a wife a gal or at least an image to maintain. The VIP can’t be seen hitting on random waifs in a club. He doesn’t have time to court or date these pretty young things. He might be thousands of miles away tomorrow. The getting-to-know-you phase is taken out of the mix. Promoters bring party girls out for a good time, and what happens after that is their own business but also the underlying business of clubs.

Waitresses in high-end clubs are required to book tables. If they don’t, they are replaced by waitresses who can. Although many can get by with a flirt or a sit on the lap, many butter their bread and butter. Sometimes it’s just an occasional dinner, or they serve as arm candy at a function ...sometimes they make introductions for their clients to their attractive, available, and very willing friends. Clubs encourage these outside-the-club meetings. A waitress with a big client will be allowed to come in late as long as they bring a whale to the joint after the opera or benefit. Some waitresses are flown to Vegas or LA because the whale needs beauties around him he can trust. That trust is the all-important commodity here. Trust comes first, even before sex and certainly after. The Tiger-in-your-bank scandal seems to have legs—lots of them. The “fore” golf jokes seem to be moving past four and even seven and, well, it doesn’t seem it will end anytime soon. Rachel Uchitel has done her job. She has kept her mouth shut. That was always the deal and is always the deal.

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, and what happens in New York clubs stays in New York clubs. When Malaysian millionaire Jho Low was spending megabucks in NYC clubs, this reporter did not run the story because it would have broken the rules to talk about his fun. The New York Post broke the story, and Mr. Low started to lay very low. Talk is not cheap. It costs the clubs megabucks when spenders and celebs feel too unsafe to partake. Rachel Uchitel is a not a waitress. Whether she slept with her client Tiger Woods or not is irrelevant to me. She has a Blackberry full of business and celebrity clients. Every host in NYC has the same.

Here's a WOLF newsflash: Ho's don't need to hire high power LA attorney Gloria Allred. High power pimps need high power attorneys.

Steve Lewis says, The Blackberry of one host at a high end joint that I have seen tells the story. In it was a line-by -line description on how to service hundreds of very important people ... for example, the client likes Grey Goose or Dom Perignon . He likes a table in the action, or maybe a quieter less conspicuous location. He likes tall fun blondes, or he likes a more intellectual type. He’s looking for action or whatever comes his way. The host provides what the VIP needs. “Dependable” girls are always ready. Some of these gals are aspiring actresses or looking for a husband or just like the fun, the thrill. It’s the reason they left Kansas in the first place. Whatever—the main thing is that over time they didn’t blab about what happened with the men in question to the gossips, and the clients enjoyed their company. This is merely the tip of the iceberg, and I’ll let you guys fill in the rest of the blanks. This is business as usual in clubdom, and as I said, obvious to everyone in the game. It takes a good national scandal to say it out loud.

Yet, Wikipedia, still does not think Rachel Uchitel is wiki worthy. That's all you need to know about Wikipedia, which is no longer relevant and is losing millions of editors and readers.

SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - A woman has posted $500 bond on a charge of public intoxication after police said she passed out on a horse she rode in the Shelbyville Christmas parade. According to the Shelbyville Times-Gazette, a 46-year-old woman was found slumped over on her horse outside a motel.

Police said they had been notified of a possibly intoxicated rider in a red coat on a white horse in the parade Saturday night.

Officers said they had to catch her twice to keep her from falling.

DUNNELLON, Fla. (AP) - A 53-year-old was arrested after allegedly hitting a man in the head with a raw steak. According to a Marion County Sheriff's Office report, the man told deputies Elsie Egan repeatedly hit him with the uncooked meat and slapped his face after he refused a piece of sliced bread. The man said he wanted a bread roll.

Egan denied hitting the man with the steak but did admit to slapping him, saying she did it "so that he could learn."

The man told deputies that Egan was his live-in girlfriend. He declined medical assistance.

A 98-year-old woman has been charged with the murder of her 100-year-old roommate at nursing home.

Dementia sufferer Laura Lundquist is suspected of killing Elizabeth Barrow in their room at the Brandon Woods Nursing Home, Massachusetts.

Barrow was found dead in bed with a plastic bag tied around her head.

It was first believed to be a suicide but Lundquist was arrested after an autopsy indicated her roommate had been strangled.

She was indicted on a second degree murder charge at a court on Friday and has been sent to a state mental hospital for a competency evaluation before her arraignment.

Her defence attorney, Carl Levin, said she has a "long-standing diagnosis of dementia, as well as issues of cognitive impairment."

The alleged victim’s son, Scott Barrow, claims Lundquist had complained about the number of visitors his mother received and had made threatening and harassing remarks to her.

The two women had been roommates for about a year, despite calls by Mr Barrow to separate them.

He said his mother told him she did not want to leave her room because she had previously shared it with her husband for several years before he died in 2007.

The day his mother died, Mr Barrow claims he saw Lundquist being wheeled away from the room.

Barrow said: "She said to me, 'You're going to blame me for this ... but you're wrong’."

District Attorney Sam Sutter said Lundquist suffered from paranoia and "harboured hostility toward the victim" and thought Barrow "was taking over the room they shared."

He said that Lundquist is believed to be the oldest murder defendant in state history.

The Start of 32 Years in Government

Readers may be surprised to learn that I graduated from a Catholic high school seminary and attended one year of college seminary at St. Meinrads in Indiana. Yes, as I youth, I wanted to become a priest. In 1973 I decided the priesthood was not for me. I wanted to become an FBI agent. My dad had worked as a railroad special agent and was the Police Commissioner in Tybee Island, Georgia at one time.

When I returned to Georgia from Indiana, I enrolled in the Criminal Justice program at Armstrong State College (now Armstrong Atlantic State University). My mother knew the Chief Telephone Operator at Southern Bell and I applied for an operator position and was hired. I was one of only 4 male telephone operators in Savannah in 1973. In those days, telephone service was controlled by AT&T across the country and operators sat in front of a "cord board" that ran a full city block (like the one Lilly Tomlin used on Laugh In but much longer).

From 1973-76, I attended college in Savannah and dated another operator at the "phone company". We were married in May 1976. We were both hired as FBI "clerks" and began working at HQ in Washington D.C.two weeks later. I had been told by the FBI agent who recruited me that I could able to apply to become a FBI special agent position after I earned my college degree. The Savannah field agent made it clear that the vast majority of FBI agents started their careers as clerks because Mr. Hoover found that FBI "clerks" made became the best agents. Mr. Hoover did not hire police officers to become FBI agents.

J.Edgar Hoover was the most powerful Director of the FBI and held that position from 1924-1972. Hoover was solely responsible for building the FBI from a fledgling agency with few responsibilities into the 2,000 pound gorilla of an agency that it is today. The FBI is by far the most powerful agency in the federal government though it is much younger than the Secret Service, Marshall's Service, Postal Inspection Service and Customs Service which was created by the second act of Congress in 1786.

A few days ago, the Wall Street Journal reported that Wikipedia had lost "millions" of readers, volunteer writers and editors since the first quarter of 2007. As you saw in my last post, I decided to test the waters at Wikipedia. I found the editors to be hostile, biased and incompetent. I won't participate as the "wiki" is gone and the ass clowns are there to stay.

Ass Clown "Editors" Killing Wikepdia

On November 27, 2009 the Wall Street Journal reported that, "Wikipedia.org is the fifth-most-popular Web site in the world, with roughly 325 million monthly visitors. But unprecedented numbers of the millions of online volunteers who write, edit and police it are quitting." The article by JULIA ANGWIN and GEOFFREY A. FOWLER said, "That could have significant implications for the brand of democratization that Wikipedia helped to unleash over the Internet -- the empowerment of the amateur. Volunteers have been departing the project that bills itself as "the free encyclopedia that anyone can edit" faster than new ones have been joining, and the net losses have accelerated over the past year."

"Wikipedia contributors have been debating widely what is behind the declines in volunteers. One factor is that many topics already have been written about. Another is the plethora of rules Wikipedia has adopted to bring order to its unruly universe -- particularly to reduce infighting among contributors about write-ups of controversial subjects and polarizing figures. As it matures, Wikipedia, one of the world's largest crowdsourcing initiatives, is becoming less freewheeling and more like the organizations it set out to replace. Today, its rules are spelled out across hundreds of Web pages. Increasingly, newcomers who try to edit are informed that they have unwittingly broken a rule -- and find their edits deleted, according to a study by researchers at Xerox Corp." -online.wsj.com/article/SB125893981183759969.html

"Wikipedia is becoming a more hostile environment," contends Mr. Ortega, a project manager at Libresoft, a research group at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in Madrid. "Many people are getting burnt out when they have to debate about the contents of certain articles again and again."

On November 28, 2009 the news about Tiger Woods and his alleged relationship with Rachel Uchitel dominated the main stream, tabloid and sports media outlets. Tiger Woods is arguably the most famous active sports personality in the world. But Who is Rachel Uchitel?

I had never heard of Ms.Uchitel so I searched Wikipedia. I quickly found out that Wiki had "zero" information on Rachel Uchitel. Eventually I read a dozen or more articles on numerous websites and found out quit a bit about Ms.Uchitel. I decided to submit a biographical entry about Ms. Uchitel on Wikipedia after discovering that she was trending very high all day on Google.

Today you will find that "Rachel Uchitel pictures" are second in Google's "Todays Hot Trends" at 10:06 AM CST. She is both the 6th & 7th most searched as "TIger Woods Mistress" & "Tiger Woods Affair Rachel Uchitel"

If you go to Wikipedia this morning and search Rachel Uchitel Wikipedia you will get this from wiki, "There were no results matching the query. You may create the page "Rachel Uchitel".

So where is the well researched and annotated biography that I posted yesterday? It's gone forever, not edited but deleted by one of the so called "editors". You will also find that my comments questioning the deletion have also been deleted by another "editor".

I posted a link to my submission on Twitter and some of you may have read it before the arbitrary editors at Wikipedia deleted it. The submission was a fair and accurate "biography of a living person", which conformed with Wikipedia's guidelines.

Wikipedia is trending down and will soon be totally irrelevant. Wiki is not about "crowdsourcing" any more. Wikipedia is all about arrogant, arbitrary ass clown "volunteer editors" who get their kicks by butchering and deleting volunteer submissions.

Now you know why 8 years after Wikipedia began with a goal to provide everyone in the world free access to "the sum of all human knowledge," the declines in participation have raised questions about the encyclopedia's ability to continue.

UPDATE: Another ass clown at Wiki has nominated my latest submission as not being "wiki worthy" . If the link has not been deleted you can read all the BS here : en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rachel_Uchitel

If the wiki volunteer fascists have already deleted my post, here is my defense as to why Rachel Uchitel is "significant" under Wikipedia's directives for a biography of a living person:
"This is exactly why @wsj reports that Wikipedia is losing millions of users. Click on link to see the BS involved to get a simple submission up on wiki. The speedy deletion of this page is contested. Reason: Uchitel is the subject of 3 of the top 10 Hot Topic searches trending on Google for the past 48 hours. Her accomplishments in VIP operations is significant. She is closely associated with some of the most famous personalities in the world. Uchitel is the subject of thousands of main stream news articles associating her with Tiger Woods, the most recognized sports personality in the world. A7 criterion does not apply to any article that makes any credible claim of significance or importance even if the claim is not supported by a reliable source. The criterion does apply if the claim of significance or importance given is not credible. By any objective standard Rachel Uchitel is "Significant" and meets the criteria for a living person bio.

Wikipedia began with a goal to provide everyone in the world free access to "the sum of all human knowledge," the declines in participation have raised questions about the encyclopedia's ability to continue expanding its breadth

Hundereds of thousands of people have searched wiki for info on Rachel Uchitel in the past 48 hours. This number will increase into the millions as evidenced by Google trends. People from all over the world are seeking information on Uchitel at this very moment."

Here is the entry that Wikipedia ass clowns rejected. Why? Because they can!

Rachel Uchitel, born in 1975, is one of the most accomplished nightclub VIP operations manager in the United States. She is currently director of VIP operations for Pink Elephant in Southampton.[1] After college Ms.Uchitel worked in TV and film. She spent five years as a television producer at Bloomberg News. After her fiancee, Andy O'Grady, was killed in the World Trade Center attacks of 2001 she moved to Las Vegas.[2] Ms.Uchitel launched Tao nightclub and restaurant, which became the number-one grossing venue in the world.[citation needed] Two years later she moved back to New York to oversee VIP operations for Tao operated Clubs Stanton Social, Marquee, Tao Bistro, and Dune.[3]

Uchitel married Steven Ehrenkranz, a financial broker, in 2004. They were divorced in 2005 after only four months of marriage. Her grandfather, Maurice Uchitel, owned the famous Manhattan nightclub the El Morocco, from 1964-1970.[4][5]

Introduction to Google Wave

The user interface of Google Wave breaks new ground and yet is not unfamiliar as its layout resembles the inbox of your mail application. The time line that lets you recap how the wave has evolved and changed since your last visit is something that even wikis don’t have today—a feature that will surely be copied extensively in the future due to its intuitive usability. The user interface motivates further contributions to the wave. This is an excellent way to convince a lot of people to participate.

It is a completely new experience to actually see your friends, colleagues and contacts type in and change content in real time. No other application apart from a few client-side chat tools currently offers such a service via a web interface. If you’re a tech geek, you’ll love that part of Google Wave. It is a powerful innovation when it comes to real-time communication and collaboration. It is competing with the well-known comforts of email, wikis and chat, but in a lot of use cases, I think Wave will win.

Brainstorming, early concept creation and discussion is what I see Google Wave being used for extensively in the near future. It can also serve as a multi-user note-taking platform for meetings and sessions in your company or university. If you want to organize an event collaboratively, Google Wave will most likely replace wikis. That’s a punch in the gut for all creators of wiki software. These are just the most obvious uses. As more people use Google Wave and become comfortable with it, they will begin using it in entirely new ways. The real-time communications it makes possible will override its weak points because of the greater efficiency it allows for any group trying to work together.

The biggest downside is there are no means of monitoring waves. This is Google Wave’s biggest weakness. I don’t get an email, G-voice alert, or any other notification in the communication systems I already use today when there is new activity in a wave.

If you need a Wave invite so you can try it out, call, email or leave comment and I will hook you up.

Happy Thanksgiving

The first Thanksgiving in North America was in 1621. No, I wasn't there! But I read that after a rich harvest, the men, women and children who had survived the first year in the New World gathered for a feast to offer thanks.

One of the pilgrims wrote at the time: "By the goodness of God, we are so far from want."

The menu for that first Thanksgiving had some surprises. It was not turkey and pumpkin pie. Historians say they probably ate fowl and venison. The pilgrims didn't have forks, they used spoons. More likely, they ate with their hands. They didn't have much sugar, so deserts, including pumpkin pie were not on the menu.

Whatever it may have involved, that meal left us with an enduring tradition: a gathering around a table, giving thanks for surviving in an uncertain and difficult new place.

A few years ago, the Unitarian minister Peter Fleck suggested we look at Thanksgiving differently. Maybe, he wrote, the pilgrims weren't thankful because they had survived. But maybe they had survived...because they were thankful. These were people who lived their lives in wonder and hope, grateful for everything, the hard winds and deep snows...the frightening evenings and hopeful mornings ...the long journey that had taken them to a new place. They knew how to express gratitude.

Maybe that spirit can teach us something, as we endure our own hard winds and deep snows - the storms of our own lives and that of our beloved nation, especially now. So as Reverend Fleck so beautifully put it, maybe the pilgrims weren't thankful because they survived.

Maybe they survived because they were thankful.

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. — Sparkly reindeer-dung necklaces are going on sale at an Illinois zoo that hopes to attract the same holiday shoppers who swept up its dung Christmas ornaments last year. The limited-edition Magical Reindeer Gem necklaces will debut Friday at the Miller Park Zoo in Bloomington.

The $15 pendant necklaces contain dried, sterilized reindeer droppings — sprayed with glitter — on a beaded chain. They'll be available at the zoo's gift shop, or by mail for $20.
The ornaments are back, and 450 have already sold this season. About 1,500 are still available for $7.50, or $10 by mail. Miller Park Zoological Society spokeswoman Susie Ohley admits it's a bit silly but estimates the zoo could make $16,500. The zoo lost $200,000 under city budget cuts this year.

Have I written lately how much I enjoy being retired? Life is good. Today's weather reminds me of the high desert of central Oregon. I was born & raised on the south east coast (Tybee Island,GA). Love living in the great state of Texas for the last 30 years. I anticipate my last move will be to Oregon after I turn 60 & Mrs Wolf takes early retirement. In the mean time, I am very happy to live in the DFW metroplex.

Carrie Prejean, the "Victim", CHILD PLEASE!

How can you tell if Carrie Prejean is lying?  Her lips are moving.  Come on people, this chic will do or say anything to get attention and be  "famous".  If Playboy or Penthouse had gotten to her before the Religious Right , she would be touring the country as Miss January instead of pimping her book on cable. Carrie Prejean is full of it. PERIOD.

Last night Larry King asked her a few questions about her settlement with the Miss California Pageant and she goes all righteous, telling King his questions are "inappropriate". Carrie loves the drama and that bit was obviously planned in advance.  All Prejean needed to say was," Larry both parties are satisfied with the settlement" or some such "out" phrase, which is included in every civil lawsuit settlement.  King actually had moved on from his line of questioning when Prejean decided to put on own little show.

King, by the way, I am not a fan, did or said nothing "inappropriate".  The only thing "inappropriate" about what went down on CNN is Prejean's hypocrisy.  People, she is NOT who or what she says. Prejean is an attention seeking sociopath!

I couldn't care less if Prejean sent her ex boyfriend a million sex tapes. I couldn't care less if she appeared nude in Hustler. It's her life and her body.  But a serial liar and documented hypocrite is the last person conservatives need representing them on national television. Leeann Tweeden is a much better choice. Tweeden is not a hypocrite and she's much hotter!

The religious right could not find a worst representative than Carrie Prejean.  You've been had. Cut your losses and RUN. The tapes in question were not made when she was 17 years old.  She was not even 18 or 19. Prejean was 20 or older.   TMZ has a team of lawyers working round the clock to prove she was an adult when she sent 20-25 such tapes to her ex boyfriend.  Its just a matter of days before Carrie is further "exposed" across the world wide web.

If Carrie's brain was bigger than her 2+'s, I would say all this was a genius plan to sell her stupid book. But her brain is smaller than the "refund gap" on those free fun bags.  Carrie is so dumb, she called her ex boyfriend last week and begged him to lie and say she was 17 when her cell phone camera was documenting her "solo" act.  Turns out, Dude, is not "crazy"  enough to have sex with a minor, even if she was Miss San Diego.  Listen to the exclusive TMZ interview of Mister X here:

Right now, liberals face a choice between health care reform that restricts abortion, or no health care at all. In essence, they're being asked to choose between mammograms for millions of women who currently can't get them, or insurance coverage for a few abortions.

HR 3962, which passed the House late Saturday prevents taxpayer dollars from being spent on abortions.  Conservative Democrats like Sen. Ben Nelson (D-NE), whose vote is indispensable to defeat a Republican filibuster, have said they will not support a HC reform bill without the additional abortion provisions contained in HR 3962.  Radical left wing liberals are furious. 41 radical House Democrats have already signed a letter to Nancy Pelosi swearing not to vote for any healthcare reform that contains the abortion restrictions.

In other words, House Democrats who claim that it's morally wrong to deprive millions of Americans of health care that will save thousands of lives, are willing to let people die, if aborting unborn babies is not paid for under the Public Option.

This is the core of the blatant hypocrisy of the Marxist Democrats who control their party.  Every day they say thousands of Americans are dying in the streets because they can't get health care. Yet, these same Democrats are willing to kill the Pelosi bill and potentially thousands of people not covered by heath insurance if  the Public Option insurance plan does not fund a abortions?

I sincerely believe that Keith Olbermann is not only the biggest asshat in America, but he is my choice for the Worst Person in the World, each and everyday that he appears on MSNBC Countdown spewing his Marxist propaganda to promote liberal fascism. Rachael Maddow, who I am sure you have never seen nor heard of, is the second Worst Person in the World, today or any day she appears on MSNBC.  Neither will retain that title, when Comcast takes over NBC. Both their butts will be out the door faster than you can say, "the worst ratings in MSNBC history".

The Inside Story on Morency's Firing at HSR

In 1990, William Houston started writing the Truth and Rumours column at the Toronto Globe & Mail. Focusing largely on the sports media, it was noted for its strong reporting and sharp edged commentary. It was a popular feature of the Globe’s sports section for 19 years. After taking an early retirement, William Houston resumed Truth & Rumours as a Web blog in October, 2009.  www.truthandrumours.net/about/

Here is Houston's take on the departure of Gabriel Morency form Hardcore Sports Radio this week and Score Media:

Three years ago, Gabriel Morency, a shock jock and sports host from Montreal, was hired by Score Television to be the driving force in re-making of the network.

He was going to help it get younger, louder, more compelling and more “authentic,” a term that was repeatedly used by the new head of programming Richard Garner.

Authenticity, as Garner saw it, meant strong opinions and also profanity — swearing that was bleeped during Morency’s dinner hour show on the network, but allowed on the late night satellite radio show on Hard Core Sports, which is produced by the Score.

But, after more than a year of internal discord and squabbling over the image conveyed by Garner’s vision, he resigned in March.

For Morency, the beginning of the end wasn’t a philosophical dispute with the powers that be. Instead, it was his attendance at a  Toronto Argonaut game three weeks ago. He went with some friends, had several drinks and returned to the downtown Toronto studio to do his late night radio show from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m.

“I had a few pops,” Morency said earlier today. “I forget sometimes that I’m part of a company. Did I push the envelop? Sometimes I do.”

Morency, 39, admits he was over the top that night. He started dancing in the studio. And since the show was cybercast on the Score’s website, he was seen as well as heard.

“The bottom line is, it’s like taboo to have alcohol in the studio,” he said. “It was a wild night. I was dancing. I might have crossed the line as far as . . . Listen, when I’m on top of the mountain, I’m King Kong. I might have said some things.”

He was suspended for seven days. The Score also removed him from the network’s dinner hour show. His co-host Cam Stewart will continue to do the show, starting next week, apparently.

After some Twitter remarks by Morency about his situation, the Score went the rest of the way and fired him.

   Morency couldn’t believe it.

“I’m shocked by what’s transpired,” he said.

John Levy, Score Media’s chairman and CEO and principal stakeholder, wouldn’t come to the phone, but Morency says Levy was a supporter.

“I don’t have a bad word to say about John,” he said. “I just think my relationship deteriorated the past year or so with some other people in that building in the corporate structure.”

Said a source, “There’s a real divide in the board room between Hard Core Sports and the Score. Radio and TV collided, and there’s a corporate battle going on in there. It’s really tough.”

Morency was caught in the middle, but his departure was expedited — and his critics were given ammunition — by his act in the studio after the Argo game.

But he’ll be back. He’s in the process of building a website called morencysports.com. He expects it to be up in two weeks. He will then resume his one-hour afternoon show and his late night show on the site.

   What’s wrong with the Score?

It’s almost impossible to evaluate the Score Television Network without calling it a mess.

Consider the events of the past year and a bit:

  • Head of programming Anthony Cicione, well respected, forced out.
  • Vice-president and general manager David Errington, well respected, gone, sources say pushed.
  • Head of programming Richard Garner, radical but smart, gone, pursuing other things.
  • Al Strachan, high profile hockey analyst, dumped at the end of last season.
  • Shock jock Gabriel Morency fired this week.

At best, the company’s vision and leadership is conflicted; at worse, the vision is dim and the leadership unstable.

John Levy would disagree with these assessments, but since a request for an interview was not granted, we don’t know for sure. Levy has plenty of issues to keep him away from the phone.

For starters, the company’s stock has plummeted to 53 cents a share from two dollars in 2007.

It reported a net loss of $1.5-million for the fiscal year that ended Aug. 31, after earning net income of $2.5-million the previous year. Of course, it’s been a tough economic year for everybody.

And, in April, Canwest Global bailed out as a part owner, selling its 16.6 million shares, thus denying the Score a broadcast partner for TV property purchases in the future.

The good news? The Score cut a deal with BlackBerry in 2009 to provide mobile content. The iphone service received more than 10 million monthly page views during its peak period in the spring. Web traffic is up. The network carries Toronto Raptors and English Premier League games. That’s good content. And the $1.5-million net loss in 2008-09 can be explained in part by money spent to upgrade the downtown Toronto studio to high definition television.

But is the Score’s future bright? Or is the future the company’s worst enemy?

The digital universe has helped the Score with mobile content but also made it vulnerable. After all, the network’s once-important status as an analogue channel is now largely meaningless. Digital networks are beginning to get distribution comparable to the analogues. TSN2, for example, which launched just a year ago, is now in four million households, and growing closer to the Score’s six million.

As for the programming on the Score and TSN2, there is no comparison. TSN2 airs NHL games, Raptors, NBA content and Toronto Blue Jays games, plus repeats of the premium programming on TSN.

The Score, for the most part, has hitched its wagon to content that includes WWE, poker, and U.S. college sports, which is in this country is about as marginal as it gets.

“If the suits at the Score had their way, they’d limit the programming to the cheap stuff — poker and wrestling,” said one source.

And the competition isn’t letting up. It’s just a matter of time until TSN2 becomes the No.3 sports channel in Canada, ahead of the Score and behind only TSN and Rogers Sportsnet. TSN2 is already the top sports digital in the market and ranks No.3 overall among all the diginets. As well, the CBC is planning to launch its own sports digital channel a year from now.

In the pre-digital age, the Score was able to survive by employing a programming strategy that mandated 24/7 sports news and highlights.

But that service, in terms of being the sole domain of the Score, is long over. TSN and Sportsnet have been running news crawlers at the bottom of the TV screen for years. On Bell TV, TSN provides an interactive service that allows the viewer to select the sports news he wants.

The Score, with its original programming strategy redundant, moved to  into aggressive, profane content, and that divided the company. The network doesn’t appear to know what it wants to be. And it’s getting rapidly overtaken by the competition.
