Arlington is not sure yet. The law doesn’t force cities to get on the bandwagon. But if they plan to enforce it, cities have to put up signs at the entrances to school zones so drivers will know what the rules are.
Some Tarrant County cities (Benbrook, Hurst, Southlake, Westlake) already have local ordinances similar to the new law. Others, like Arlington, are weighing their options. For some, the question arises because there’s a cost to put up the required signs.
