Tracy California Residents Now Have To Pay For 911 CallsTracy California residents will soon have to pay every time they call 9-1-1 for a medical emergency.
But there are a couple of options that will determine how much it will cost. Residents can pay a $48 voluntary fee for the year which allows them to call 9-1-1 as many times as necessary.
Or, there's the option of not signing up for the annual fee. Instead, the they will be charged $300 if they make a call for help.
"A $300 fee and you don't even want to be thinking about that when somebody is in need of assistance," said Tracy resident Greg Bidlack.
Residents will soon receive the form in the mail where they'll be able to make their selection. No date has been set for when the charges will go into effect.
The government at all levels in the United States is spending trillions of dollars with no constitutional authority to spend it. Yet, Tracy, CA is going to charge you $300 per call to 911 for government to perform one of the few constitutional authorities they have of protecting the citizens from force and fraud. (Being stabbed or short or assaulted is both a police & medical emergency. So that's $300 for the medical call.)
I have come to the conclusion that the Libertarian Party is the only option we have to stop the unprecedented growth of government and taxes.
I am now retired and therefore my income from an annuity & TSP (401K) is "unearned" for tax purposes. If I go back to work and have "earned" income, I will lose 50% to federal income tax, social security tax and medicare tax. By, the way , I will never work enough quarters to quality for social security. Even if I did, my social security check would be reduced to almost zero due the government pension offset.
In fact, one of the primary reasons I retired 3 years before the madatory law enforcement retirement age of 57, was to save on taxes. My wife and I paid $12,000 less in federal income tax last year because I was retired. I can honestly tell you that I have more money in the bank and in my pocket, making 30% less money than when I was employed.
I have been a member of the Libertarian Party for almost 20 years. I make a small monthly contribution to the Party.
I challenge each and everyone who is fed up with both the Democrats and the GOP to join the Libertarian Party at www.lp.org/
People keep telling me that a Libertarian can't get elected to national office. So why bother? If everyone who believes in the Constitutional Republic that was intended by our founding fathers, contributes just $10 a month, Libertarians will be elected to positions at every level of government.
Libertarians believe in the American heritage of liberty, enterprise, and personal responsibility. Libertarians recognize the responsibility we all share to preserve this precious heritage for our children and grandchildren.
Libertarians believe that being free and independent is a great way to live. We want a system which encourages all people to choose what they want from life; that lets them live, love, work, play, and dream their own way.
The Libertarian way is a caring, people-centered approach to politics. We believe each individual is unique. We want a system which respects the individual and encourages us to discover the best within ourselves and develop our full potential.
The Libertarian way is a logically consistent approach to politics based on the moral principle of self-ownership. Each individual has the right to control his or her own body, action, speech, and property. Government's only role is to help individuals defend themselves from force and fraud.
The Libertarian Party is for all who don't want to push other people around and don't want to be pushed around themselves. Live and let live is the Libertarian way.
