Nobody Can Save US but Ourselves

Obama has pushed his chips "all in".  Many DemocRATS in Congress know that they will not be returning in January 2011.  Their fate was sealed with the passage of ObamaCare.

The Vice Liar in Chief has assured his comrades that their legacy will live on forever because even if the Republicans gain control of both Houses of Congress in November, the GOP won't have the 2/3 majority to overturn the socialist agenda passed in the current session. FU Capitalists!

ObamaCare is just the beginning.  Cap & Trade, Union Card Check,  Oppressive Wall Street Regulation, and 10% raise in both the capital gains tax and 35% income tax bracket are on the agenda.  The DemocRATS are going down in a blaze of Marxist glory!

What can, we the people do?  After all, we are the"folks" who elected the DemocRAT majority and they are just doing what socialists do.  As a Libertarian, I am appalled that Bush and the Republicans enabled this Marxist Revolt.  As an American I fear that this socialism is just a stop on the road to communism.

The Libertarian Party and the Tea Party movement has greatly influenced the GOP and put them on the "right" path.  I loathe the two party system that got us into this mess.  But at this point, the Republican Party is our only hope.  We are in a "capitalism" life or death emergency.

But  taking majority control of the House is not enough.  The GOP must have a 2/3 majority to stop the ObamaNation and restore America to capitalism, the lifeblood of our freedom and prosperity.

Many are unable to spend due to being unemployed and under employed in this Great Recession.  But many of us do have discretionary money to spend.  If each one of us, cuts our spending drastically during the next 7 months, we will insure a 2/3 GOP majority in Congress in 2011.

We got ourselves into this mess and we need to get ourselves out.  We are in control not the politicians.   Drastic times, call for drastic measures.  No one can save us but ourselves.

On a personal level, my wife and I have identified over $14,000 (not counting a new car we anticipated buying this year) in discretionary spending cuts for the rest of the year.  I am optimistic that we will actually save more than that, in addition to our regular savings plan, over the next seven months.

Mr. Wolf is on strike & will  be contributing as little as possible to the U.S. economy.  Of course, I will be buying groceries and other necessities (at Walmart & Costco).  We will be taking a one week vacation at an all inclusive Dude Ranch in Colorado in September.  We will be going to Las Vegas in June for the World Series of Poker, which is a business trip for me.

We won't be spending an extra three days in Colorado as previously planed.  I won't be taking 3 other planed trips to Las Vegas this year. I won't be making over 90 trips to Oklahoma like I did last year. We won't be doing $10,000 in home improvements.  We won't be going to concerts or live sporting events like we have in the past. We won't be buying an iPad or a new 4 color HD tv. UPS be stopping at our house a couple of times each week. We won't be buying that new pool sweep or making any non emergency large purchases. Mrs. Wolf won't be trading up to that Jaguar or even purchasing a new Lexus!  FU ObamaNation!

We will be taking care of our own lawn and pool. We will be exercising more and eating healthy meals at home. We will be watching more channels on the Dish to keep up with the enemy.  We will be reading books that we have already purchased and surfing the net. We will be organizing the entire house, making our own minor repairs and improvement. We'll have a garage sale or two.

If the GOP fails to gain the 2/3 majority, those who saved will be better prepared for the very rough journey on the road to communism.

We are fortunate enough to have cash to spend but we won't spend it.  But, the only sure way to stop the rampant growth of socialism is for consumers to SPEND MUCH, MUCH LESS until after the elections in November.

Short term pain, for long term gain....
