The left-wing elites who dominate the mainstream media, the universities, the bureaucracies, the White House and Congress have a fundamentally different vision for our country than that of the vast majority of Americans.
Most Americans want a government that reflects the values upon which our country was founded: the importance of the work ethic, local control, limited government, a respect for private property, a can-do spirit and religious faith. However, decades of big government, socialist policies, secular situation ethics and machine politics threaten to transform America from the "shining city on a hill" into a mediocrity. Unless reversed, America will decay like the European democracies have over the past 50 years. The task before us is nothing less than to save America.
Voters have had it with the Obamanation. Fifty-five percent of likely voters describe President Obama's policies as "socialist" (Democracy Corps, a Democratic polling firm). Almost 60% of voters want to repeal the health-care bill (Rasmussen) and 73% of the American people oppose the drilling moratorium in the Gulf (Bloom berg).
This is why the American people have reacted so strongly against this administration and Congress, which have openly embraced the secular-socialist machine politics that are eroding this nation. America wants to turn the tide, not hasten the decline.
